The real, actual last portrait. Joel was the first one I did, and he came out rather static and robotic. I soon knew that I had to redraw him once I got the hang of all this. So, here we are.
It's not as dynamic as I had originally aimed for, but I'm satisfied.

The lines themselves are awesome, Immy, but making his eyes glow would probably have pushed the dynamic edge a bit. Or maybe having some of his show aura rising up off the floor in answer to his clenched claws. ^_^ All in all, an excellent rendition of my all-time favorite Concession character. ^_^

No offense but now it looks too dynamic. The "static, robotic" pose actually made him look pretty badass and fit a character portrait for a cast page better than this one, in my opinion.

I love the proportions and the action-inspiring pose. I blame my 3d modeling class >.< But anyway, this is really awesome and in my opinion a huge step up from the new style sketch v1, which as you said came of rather static.
