Created in August of 2001, Neichelle was an exercise in designing a character that was a walking fandom cliche`, largely to introduce my existing set of characters to the fandom (they`re written as being aware of their existence as cartoon characters, but did not acknowledge furry fandom) and to provide a point of culture shock to stir up controversy in the normally harmonious group.

True to her fandom-cliche roots, Neichelle (pronounced `knee SHELL`) is bound to be the best-liked of my character group, `cause SHE`S NEKKID. All the time. Neichelle views clothes to be redundant on furry characters, finds the use of shoes particularly bothersome, and can`t understand why anyone would want to wear either. Naturally she`s constantly reminding others of her views on the matter for as long as they fail to follow her lead. Despite all this, Neichelle is (usually) drawn without visible nipples or genetalia, the excuse being that her extra fuzzy fur normally hides these features from view.

Another aspect of Neichelle`s persona that`s sure to be popular with the fandom is her view of porn--she`s all for it. A hedonist by design, she gets an immense enjoyment out of sex, and parading around NEKKID full-time, she has absolutely no shame reveling in explicit imagery. Needless to say, the others` reactions range from tacit approval to utter horror at her encouragements to follow suit. It doesn`t help that being a little scatterbrained, she occasionally acts before engaging her grey matter.

This image was done in Deneba Canvas as a vector image, exported to bitmap, converted to a GIF, from which the thumbnail was derived (currently FurAffinity only auto-generates thumbnails for JPG images). Total editing time from initial scan to completion was about 372 minutes.
