Over winter session I have taken a theatrical masking course called THEA 310.
Basically- you learn how to make custom-fit masks with the primary medium of tarlatan cloth. This class was awesome and fun. But while what i learned in the class is GREAT and AMAZING for stage masks (like making human faces and simple masquerade masks) this is NOT a good way to make Fursuiting heads.

My dragon came out good in my opinion. I am very proud of him. I was still learning to work with the medium even if this was my third mask from the class. I feel like if i kept practicing it would only get better. But I will probably not make much more with tarlatin or wear this mask too often. Its just not practical... You would have to wear it to fully understand what i mean by this.

Overall- great class, and now i have an awesome dragon that i'm planning to mount on my wall once i get it graded. :D

P.S. A few fursuiters would probably blanch at just how much hot glue went into making this due to the inability to sew any of it.
