I've always been a sucker for painting nebulae and stars, and decided to make this while working on a grueling school project to let off some steam. It was a fun challenge to integrate the grove of trees into the background, as that wasn't part of the initial plan of the piece. Figuring out what to leave in the middle of the conjuration was another mind twister, so for the longest time there was an apple in its place as a placeholder, though in the end I settled on a nondescript seedling.
