Ok, Allow me to start by saying that I love technical schematic. When I was a little girl I had the original Star war essential guides to weapons and to vehicles and vessels all but memorized, not to mention the various military technical manuals I obsessed over at the public library. So I decided to take a stab at making my own sci-fi/conceptual BDSM toys in the same style, just for a little laugh. Granted at this point I am only making 2D autoCad renderings, but if people like it who knows. Anyways I hope you enjoy this first little attempt.
Dynamic Lash:
As the story goes, the Dynamic lash was designed by a young engineer for his Mistress as a one year anniversary gift. According to the story this simple tool was an attempt to solve his owners apparent aversion to switching tools mid-scene, an activity she supposedly found frustrating and mood breaking. Because the woman was already fond of whips, crops and canes during her sessions this nameless engineer decided that the best way to begin was to devise an easy to use tool that would be able to emulate all three of these lashing implaments safely and as accurately as possible.
While it may look like little more than a stainless steel radio antenna on top of a contoured and padded brass handle the lash itself is actually composed of several springs and small levers working in tandem that all connect to a pressure plate hidden under the padded grip of the lash and supported by a second high tension spring. This second spring makes the plate feel solid at first, but as the grip on the handle increases the pressure plate moves back, and in turn moves a small metal catche forward. towards the cylinder holding the Lash antenna.
This cylinder is set on a hinge with a simple rubber stopper safety. With the safety off the cylinder is allowed to swing free up to forty five degrees forward or backwards so long as no force is applied to the pressure plate on the grip. The range of movement in turn allows for more movement in the lash causing it to act more like a whip. Moderate pressure reduces the range of movement both ways and slowly turns the lash into something more akin to a crop though still made of metal and thus requiring a bit more fineness to use safely. When depressed fully the range of movement on the cylinder stops and the lash acts more like a cane, delivering stinging blows that only the most masochistic of slaves or pets would really enjoy.
After designing a few test models and adding a hand guard for added stability and pleasing ascetic the young engineer presented his owner with this item as a gift on the day of their anniversary and was promptly rewarded by becoming the subject of its first field test. Since then many owners and switch couples alike have invested in one of these simple tools either as a way to save money on bedroom tools or because of its exotic and unique usage.

Sadly the electric tip would not work as well without a proper power plant or battery system which would seriously weigh down the handle and extend it past the point of being comfortable, and there is no way to run such a thing off of a 'normal' battery. But if I think of a way to pull it off I will include it.
