Yes, she now has a name: Carina, after the nebula of the same name.
I wanted to name her after a celestial object of some sort. Not a constellation, as those change depending on where you are in the galaxy. It had to be something tangible, something you can go and visit. And in my research I came across a beautiful nebula, a nebula that just so happened to be the largest and most luminous nebula in the sky. Larger and brighter than the more famous Orion Nebula. I knew at that moment that I found her name.
I tried to do a completely different approach for this piece. No lines here, just colors and shapes and some simple shading. And a background that has a little bit of effort put in to it. Although not perfect, I did try my best. Keep in mind, this is the first time I've ever done something like this, so I was just kind of winging it throughout the whole thing.
