I'm... surprised you haven't gotten any comments on this o_o
Anyhoo, I love the strong directional lighting you have here. It really helps to make the character pop, giving a very firm sense of volume & shape. You've also done a nice job with balancing the light & dark values, retaining the darkest values for those areas where it is needed most, rather than drowning the whole piece in excessive amounts of contrast (something I've seen too many artists do)
