Flotsams and Jetsams are interesting pets, as is the pirate color. The Flotsam and its edgier counterpart are interesting because of how they've always been practically the same thing, even in their earliest iterations. The Pirate color itself is interesting because it goes to show how Neopets' cultural diversity is structured based entirely around aesthetics. "Halloween" and "Christmas" can also be considered "subspecies" or "breeds" for chrissakes.
