There is a difference between referencing someone else's drawing and copying right from it.
I mean, you've practically taken her character, right down to the very same markings, and curls in her hair, and just changed the colours.

changing your fursona's marking is a good move, the hair doesn't really need to be shorter. Just so long as you don't copy the exact shape straight from someone else's drawing.
