The wind howled as a bright light pierced the sky. The whispers of those passed filled the air as the skies darkened, dark violet and ink tones whirling as the Halloween Season began. Nights lit by pumpkin light, orange auras cast by lanterns and the scent of spice filling the air.
The wild filled Nemui’s body as she sat in the Autumn breeze. It was the time of year where the urges to run freely through the wilderness were strongest. She let out a relieved sigh as she felt her fangs lengthen and grow, creeping over her lower lip.
At last, the Wild had come for her.
Her wings disappeared for but a moment, a ticklish sensation replacing them as orange twinkles transformed them into leathery, batlike appendages. She felt the wind ruffle her hair, seeming to gain a permanent fixture betwixt her locks. Lightning coursed through her form as it cracked across the sky, before curving and striking the Celestial squarely in her waiting Core.
In this moment, her Augmentations burst across her body in a violet haze, the sounds of rending metal and shattering glass filling the air around her as the storm grew more violent.
As the lightning engulfed the ursine,Nemui arose unscathed, glanced skyward, and let out a ravenous yell. Spirits cooed and coerced in her ears and her bat wings flapped angrily at the leaf-strewn breeze. A hunger roared within her as she braced herself and lept forth.
It was time to hunt.
