Ok, this took longer than it should have I kept getting side-tracked and or pulled away from the screen to do other more pressing matters. This is Anbessa, he was a bit more challenging than I orginally thought, again I kept it rough, suggestive but very rough, letting more of the texture bleed thru to suggest that fine pelt.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ink_and_wash_painting offers the best explaination, I call this "Digital Sumi-e" with obvious reasoning :)
And many thanks for your kind words, its a bit of a sigh of relief to see Anbessa is so readily recognized just off the thumb alone

looks awesome. the pose of a warrior, somehow, a warrior at ease, but still alert; thoughtful, enjoying the hot winds from the desert. I love the colours, the expression, the looks of a writing brush used to create a painting that tells a story, the sketching look... ^^ say, what do the kanji mean up in the corner?
I'm very grateful you like it so much Even more thrilled how you seem moved by it, I will have the signed print ready and in the mail shortly I will keep you informed of this (likely print and sign it today and have it ready for tomorrow)
The Kanji as with the rest of the pieces containing Kanji, means exactly what the title of the piece is, in your case, Seductive :)
Again an honor and pleasure to work with you.
As always,
Humbly with best regards,
KrestelCat

*bows* same with me. I'm a little bit embarassed from your courtesy, I'm not used to that... so, asking permission to blush.
anyway, I tend to dissect art pieces that speak to me, sotosay, analyze them, give my thoughts on subject and the picture itself if I can. sometimes you might even read a little chapter of a story that came to mind...
it's my way to say thank you for providing us with art. :)
