KAWAII IS A WAY OF LIFE
The Baby Gelert is hands down the cutest Neopets baby. And unlike a lot of the pets, I also believe its redesign is cuter then its original look. But Baby Neopets are a very weird phenomenon - they're an obvious color to make, sure, and an extremely marketable one, definitely, but they're so weird to think of in the context of the world's lore. Neopets are born as "adults" presumably, which means baby Neopets are just adults shrunken down, turned pastel, and given big googly eyes. Talk about Evolutionary NEOteny hahahahahah
