Star Trek: The Next Generation (Theme)
Since I began casually watching the shows in the Star Trek franchise, I've come to discover the only thing I really liked about them was the soundtracks, and The Next Generation is the program I am most familiar with, so it's only fair I recite the opening:
Space. The final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore stranger new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone before!
This was another case where instead of starting from scratch (which actually gives me more satisfication), I used a different score for reference, but that score had mistakes in it! One drawback to having perfect pitch is that I can't stand music when it's wrong, and so I have the urge to make it right. That's what I did here (I hope). I also expanded on the music to fit the length I wanted.
This arrangement is for the following instruments:
Piccolo
Flute
Oboe
Bassoon
2 B-flat clarinets
Bass clarinet
Alto saxophone
Tenor saxophone
Baritone saxophone
2 B-flat trumpets
Horn in F (which I'm guessing means French horn)
Trombone
Euphonium

Contrabass (or double bass)
Glockenspiel

Bass drum
Snare drum
