It comes in the night. 167 metric tonnes of engine, armour and gun. Day by day, more and more Sonic the Hedgehog based fan-fiction characters disappear. Sometimes, they find traces of burnt oversized bangs, or charred hedgehog quills, but nothing more. The remaining fan-fic characters group together now, too afraid to move alone. For when one moves alone... the SD40 strikes.

The SD40, originally based on a heavy locomotive, is a predator of these poorly written Sonic characters. It is opposed to the lack of understanding the basics of plot, characterisation and logic, and it is the scourge of those that dare defy the laws of physics. It moves from site to site, it's antimatter cannon ready to wipe out amateur drawings of emo cartoon hedgehogs and anatomically inaccurate bats, to eliminate these perversions of nature and fashion forever.

A follow-up to  obviousweasel's idea of something that hunts Sonic-based characters on the internet. I thought it sounded like a funny idea.
