This is a bit of a throwback for me. When I was a kid I used to draw this sort of thing all the time (though obviously with a lot less skill). This was inspired by a story by PadFoot in the previous issue of the APA, though in an oddly tangential fashion. In his story, the little folks were broken and oppressed by an evil giant "king" and a good giant hero shows up. After reading it, I found myself singing a Rudyard Kipling poem "A Pict Song", and imagining, not a giant hero coming to rescue the little people, but to rally them, and the misery a rabble of armed angry little people might cause a giant tyrant.
"Oh we are the little folk. we!
Too little to love or to hate.
But watch how we work and you'll see,
how quickly we pull down the state!"

Not bad, though in honesty, I prolly would have gone with the basic Roman Soldier's Helmet, Doesn't look as fearsome, but the level of protection compared to the coatl head dress would probably give you a much better chance of surviving a blow to the head. *Has a passion for Ancient roman history that boarders on unhealthy.*
Also, if I remember Roman Helmet designs...didn't they have a nose guard? Ended up shaped like a T almost? Or am I thinking ancient Greece? The Couatle helms there, act in a similar fastion, protecting the extended muzzle, and I think a bit better then a simple bar of metal would. LOVE the pic, BTW. :)
Oh man, if that's what I thnk it is I remember that story! I think Padfoot did it in his storytelling channel on IRC. Man, that one still gave me the chills.
This is great; you don't often see giant beings as the ones commanding any sort of force, much less a resistance.

What is your policy on other people recolouring your work? I can't draw but I do dabble in computer coloring and I'd like to try some of your artwork out.
I always respect Artists rights... as demonstrated by asking bfore I recolor.. and I'd always give you credit, not sell it, etc.
I'm not great, but there's only one way I'm going to get better right?
