This decrepit switcher is a rare bird, one of 11 single-engine "Visibility Cab" units built by Westinghouse. Erected in 1930 it represents the transition from Boxcab designs to the first of the more slender (if this one could be consider slender :D) switcher carbodies.
The "Visibility Cab" on these engines is somewhat unique. It has two sets of trolley style throttles and brake stands. One on each side of the high cab. This setup allowed the engineman flexibility while switching from either side of the locomotive.
All axles are powered and it could get it's 146,200 lb. bulk up to a top speed of 35mph.
This engine is supposedly nearly complete and is owned by the Minnesota Transportation Museum. It would require a full restoration to be operable.
I probably took this around 1992 during the late winter judging by the grey despondent skies
Here's one of it's siblings in operable shape: http://www.pa-trolley.org/page23/pa.....1044-full.html

I think theres a dead cat pressed under there unless its a bag or something.
I like the shot, it's better then some shot of some morons head with a cheap camera in a mirror or airsoft collection taken with a cell phone.
The perspective is nice, the colors are interesting, the subject matter is interesting, and there is knowledge behind the subject that isnt shit just anyone could know.
It's not a look how i compensate for my small penis by having a huge collection of firearms so i feel bad ass, but yet i took it with my shitball cell cam. I hate those retards.
This is a really neat image, and it falls under the photography guidelines of FA.
