part of a trade with 
agouti-rex, Magnolia opossum, lady of the night on the lookout for an interested gentleman, makes a mistake and makes a proposition before getting a good enough look...at Shard.
oops, Magnolia. Looks like she's hungry, too. I think Danielle must end up saying, "Shard, don't!!!" in this kind of situation a lot.
And no, opossum-folk aren't written into the 'Bone Shard' universe (if they are, they'd come from the America-equivalent continent) but I don't care, Magnolia still works. mmm, tastes like possum.

Shard and Danielle were out having a night on the town, I think. And she will be making another appearance in the comic very soon.
Nah, Shard doesn't usually kill them. Just almost. Danielle doesn't let her most of the time.
Your possum is gonna get BITTEN ON, though. crunch.
While she's obviously happy to punish those who deserve it, I have to wonder whether she enjoys horrifying Danielle. And whether she might push ahead with things rather expecting Danielle to try to stop her. In any case, horrifying Danielle and needing to be reined in doesn't seem to BOTHER Shard very much.
Would Shard "destroy" Magnolia if Danielle weren't there to stop her? I don't know. My read is that Shard After Danielle probably would not, in this situation, unless perhaps she had to do it to save Danielle somehow. And that Shard Before Danielle would if she felt the need to. But like any other efficient hunter, she wouldn't expend the energy to gather prey if she didn't need any.
Of course she might be so made that she ALWAYS needs prey.
Sorry to ramble so. These characters fascinate me. Not that I'd be exactly comfortable, not that I'd really want to meet Shard under ANY circumstances, y'unnerstan...
