Good Intentions
There's a fork in the road that I passed long ago,
while the driver neglected directions,
and those that she asked to direct her as such,
felt obliged to issue her rejections
If life is built on the firmest bedrock,
and hell equals a state of mind,
then acknowledging that which we built for ourself,
makes us scornful of even the kind
An argument sound to the smallest detail,
excluding the last one of course,
makes evil appear in vivid example,
a substance quite human in source
A capricious woman might find her way well,
ignoring the well meaning fools,
but a girl who has found herself living in hell,
has undoubtedly followed the rules
