Equal parts cute and derp.
I'd be a bad dog owner if I didn't post something like this, no?
Harper, about 7 weeks into ownership. I took a bit to get photos I liked, because they kept getting superceded... he was apparently not well taken care of, and has gotten progressively fluffier and prettier with better care. We think he simply wasn't getting enough protein to fill out his coat. He's somehow getting less white the more days pass, but either way he's one photogenic cutey, the neighborhood agrees. You can see from his face...he's not fully husky, but we're not sure what else. There's a non-recognized breed called Northern Inuit, which also includes GSD and samoyed bloodlines, and his coloration seems to support this. At least two neighborhood kids have assumed he's a "wolf".
We're kinda at roommate/bro stage with him relationshipwise...better than caretaker, but still not quite at love. Getting there!
Featuring his third-favorite toy, a temporary blanket we got from Goodwill that turned out to be covered in snowmeows and tigers...and a LOT of his fur. The Roomba and our brushes have been busy.

HE'S SO CUTE AND HANDSOME! I'm so glad he has you guys to take care of him now. x3 Haha, and the top right photo shows off his acrobatic side.
Heh, you could have fooled me into think he's just a Husky, though that's because I'm a far cry from being a dog-breed expert. Though looking at him more carefully, I see what you mean. There is something about his face that does suggest other breeds. And I don't blame those kids for thinking that Harper's a wolf. There's definitely something wolfish about him.
But he's such a cute little derp, especially in that photo of him sleeping! Aha, so he has a preference for tigers and 'snowmeows' (I love that word), huh? xD Now I'm tempted to draw something about that, except I don't know what. ^^
Here's hoping it's not too long before he starts to see you guys as his parents/owners. x3

Lots of neighbors have commented on him. And he just likes lying like that, it's not even his "rub my belly" move!
I'm no expert either, but he looks...off. The shelter thought he was almost three, but his face has a slightly youthful vibe to it. Frankly, we're half wondering if he's part coyote.
What about 'snep'?
Soon, I hope!

I believe it. :D Haha, it's funny how some animals just have a certain way of lying down. I knew a cat once that, on hot days, would lie flat out on its tummy with its arms stretched forward.
I'd say you're right on those first two assessments, although I'm surprised about the coyote bit. You really think so? That'd be interesting if he was. You'd have yourself an semi-exotic pet!
Hah! 'Snep'... reminds me of 'Shep'...
Yup! *hug*

VERY!
Yeah, wasn't expecting that. Soooo fluffy now.
Dev says there's been lots of missed opportunities. I'm crap with a camera so often I don't bother, but I got lucky a few times.
Yasss. Sadly he's not very into brushing yet (I thought some dogs liked that!), I hope we get him used to that soon.

I'm not a great photographer either, which is why most images of my cat have him sleeping. I did manage to get some of him finally approving of my new place and furniture though.
Yeah, you have to start with stuff like brushing and claw trimming when they're young, and keep at it.

It was too big to open in the store so we were pleased that's what was on it. Except he's gnawed a few edges.
He likes belly rubs more than head pettings, but weirdly that top right pose was just him napping. He LIKES to stretch out like that.
And that's without many facial closeups. He has very prominent eyebrows, which often look worried, but less so now that he's happier with us.

Hee! Ours actually is pretty good about not eating anything inorganic, but he can't be trusted around paper and cardboard. And he doesn't like raw fruits or vegetables! We're trying desperately to expand his diet, but it has to be cooked and sauced or sweetened before he'll even try it.
