reading it.. seemed to me that the tale told a different story - that after darkness / evil rose to kill the stars, and killing the sun (god).. that the moon (god) fled the planet (with the stars) as evil destroyed / consumed their homeworld.. only to then wage (eternal) battle agaisnt said evil tentacle darkness... eternal crusaders so said fate never befall another...
