Bigwig and Spartina but a bit older
Been a while since I drew anything related to my Watership Down comic figured it was time to change that! Tried to make some nice changes to their canon designs and I'm quite pleased with how they turned out.
These are how Bigwig and Spartina will appear in my comic, they've aged a bit and maybe aren't at their physical peak anymore but they still have plenty of energy and fight left in them! Since the ending of the TV show they've settled down a little and had three kids together (Named Breccia, Jasper and Yarrow), their kids are currently fully grown at the start of my comic. The both of them co-lead the Owlsa together nowadays.
Spartina has fit into Watership Down perfectly, some had concerns she might find it difficult to settle after all the years she spent in Darkhaven but she's had no problems at all, she's still strong and brave but has become more compassionate towards her fellow rabbits.
Shortly after the events of the series ending she became co-leader of the Owsla after Bigwig suggests the idea to her, this is a perfect role for her and really helped her settle into the warren.
She loves her life on Watership Down, adores her children and would defend them all till the end.
She's become an approachable and very loved member of the warren and her an Bigwig make a perfect pair to lead the Owlsa.
Bigwig has mellowed out considerably and is less of a hot head but he still won't hesitate to drill lazy members of the Owsla, he loves his children to bits and is fiercely protective of them and loves taking them out on family patrols/farm raids.
Bigwig never imagined sharing the role of Owsla leader with anyone else (back in the day he would have been very against it if anything) but he recognised that Spartina is an incredibly capable rabbit who would be perfect to lead alongside him not to mention he'd get to spend even more time with her if you get what I mean.
He can be described as more of a gentle giant nowadays but that still doesn't mean rabbits don't do as he says when on a Owsla patrol!
