A Dragon OC concept I wanted to rework on. Years ago I wanted to draw an OC for the comic Pure Light because sometimes the current author, RusCi likes to implement OCs the fans submit her as background character, and I wanted to submit something but the previous result was awful in my opinion. So I came up with a new design, a new color palette and a name.

Element: Ice
Level: Average

Good average though: She used ice as a worker in the mines. she worked on her element to be able
to infiltrate ice into the cracks of the stone to break it, making mining easier for her and her co workers.
Also the third class district being a hard place to live, she learned by herself to use
her element to get out of conflicts. creating diversion, trapping some mugglers in the ice to
run away or even for an artistic purpose as a side activity, all these situations helped her
to master her element, not in power but in precision.

Personnality: Iceheart, unlike her name, tend to be the warm and cheerful kind of person.
Though she tends to act casual, it's an act hiding her real intent to get out of the mines,
get out of Warfang she considers to be a depressing place to live.
She's smart, but it's a common quality to those who live in the 3rd class district.
However, she stands out with her imagination, which is one of her biggest qualities, a quality
she wants to use to help people around her.

Weaknesses: She doesn't know how to handle her stress. That stress have an impact on the way
she can use her element. she will be less meticulous.

Skills and abilities: can concentrate her breath in a spit which can create a cloud of fog,
thick enough to blind temporarily her opponents.
Thanks to her hobby as ice sculptor, she's able to work on the form she gives to her ice.
An offensive form she can create are ice spikes shaped like blades. That's something she
rarely use.
All along her mining work, she learned how to infiltrate ice in the cracks of stone to break it,
more than just easing her work, it's something that can be used to set up traps.
Her muscled tail, thanks to years of mining (she mined with her tail), is coupled to blade-like
tip, which makes a dangerous weapon.

Backstory:

Before starting Iceheart's story, it would be interesting to take a quick look at her parents' situation.
Blizzard and Morningstar Watercrystals, mated for life, were third class citizen and also low ranked
officer in the military. Everything went south around the beginning of the third Dark War, soon after Blizzard
laid Iceheart's egg. Indeed when the darkers started to attack some territories, several recon units have been
deployed to have an insight of what was happening. Blizzard and Morningstar were part of one of these team, and
the only ones to not return. An unfortunate encounter with a group of darkers sealed their fate. That's how
Iceheart's parent went missing. A rescue team has been sent as an attempt to retrieve them, but no body could
be found. For Aicha's egg the question were asked. Who could raise her? As 3rd class she wouldn't be prioritized
for the orphanage. Still, the superiors of the dead soldiers heard of an old aquaintance of Morningstar from
before the war, who lived in the 3rd district, a unicorn named Soleen. She agreed to take care of the egg and
the hatchling in memory of a service she owed him.

That's how Iceheart ended up being born and living as a third class district citizen with a unicorn as her
only parental figure. It's also Soleen who nicknamed her "Aicha" finding it to be more heartwarming than
her original name. It was a ghetto life, but Soleen gave her more than enough love to find the life there
pleasant somehow. Iceheart were even the one volunteering in the mine when she turned 14 to help Soleen
bringing back food on the table, though the unicorn didn't approve a lot in a first place. Iceheart
put all her energy to handle her job in the mines and her time at school. This way she could have a
decent education, still a basic one. However, the life in the ghetto is what made her really smart and
imaginative for many reasons. Avoiding troubles made her develop a sense of diplomacy. Indeed, as the 3rd
class district is populated by non-dragon species who hate dragons for being the top class and treating
them as lowlifes, that climate of segregation pushed the non-dragon to show some defiance toward the dragons
Still, Aicha remained an odd exception, considering she's been raised by a unicorn and her cheerful temper
helped he being appreciated in the district, but she couldn't be liked by everyone unfortunately.
On the other hand, Her element for example is something she turned into a really useful tool through
her work in the mines and a tastes for artistic practice she developped with Soleen, who loves to do
inking with her horn. Wanting to follow her steps, she tried herself to sculpting, first with clay,
then using her ice. Her job as a digger had many perks. The pay was enough, thanks to a little extra
she could earn with the tip she imagined during her work. Using her ice in the wet cracks of the stone
to break it by dilatation helped her to make some more money. In that mine she also met Typhoon, a wind
dragoness who was her coworker in a first place, but the alchemy worked out pretty well and the two
of them ended up being best friends. They spent most of their free time in Iceheart's studio to imagine
the world outside while she was working on her sculptures. Typhoon's dream was to see the sea and she
always was taunting Iceheart about finding a way to get out of Warfang to fly to one edge of the
continent.

The life followed its course for a time until her 22 years old. The attack of Warfang brought a huge change
in her life. She was working in the mines with Typhoon when the darker's army invaded the city, they were
right next to the danger. They tried to run away to Soleen and Iceheart's house to check on the unicorn,
but were caught in the middle of the fight. Trying to make their way in the chaos, they fell on a group of
darkers who noticed them. They couldn't avoid the fight and weren't prepared to face such a danger. Typhoon
have been badly wounded during the struggle and Iceheart survived only because the army arrived to ward off
the Darkers. But Typhoon lose too much blood because of her wound. In her agony she confessed one last thing
to her friend. What was a strong friendship for Iceheart grew into a deep love in the heart of Typhoon,
something she kept inside herself for all that time. That loss and its circumpstances broke her. In the
end she was carrying in her the memory of her friend, her hidden feelings and her dreams. From that point
she made up her mind. She decided she would fullfill the wish of her lost friend. That's how she chose to
apply to the freedom flyers with the intention to help to end this war, and grant Typhoon's wish. Well she
hoped.
