A while back I got myself a rat ninja from Kampfer, and I couldn't help but wonder what was under all that gear. So I asked Kampfer to draw what he would look like. Now we know! And such a handsome rat needs a name.

So meet Kuro, a nezumi from the Takenuma Swamp of the plane of Kamigawa. Born at the beginning of the Kami War, when the spirits and gods of the world went to war with the mortal realm, he spent his whole life fighting. Humans, nezumi, kami, didn't matter, if it was a threat, he would eliminate it. After completing his training in the ninja arts, he became an even deadlier force, protecting his home and silently killing intruders without hesitation.

Since the end of the war things have become more peaceful, but that doesn't mean he's let his guard down. He maintains vigilance at all times, it's second nature. Even now, despite having changed out of his gear for the night, he knew you were trying to hide, and he's caught you staring. You might not be a threat, but whatever you want, better tell him now or you're dead.

Deep down though, he's unsure about what peace will bring him, and for the first time in his life, he can even feel a little relaxed. Maybe he has a soft spot deep, deep, deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep down? Time will tell.

Hope you like him! I'm trying to think of a ninja name for him. Most nezumi use names such as Ink-Eyes, Marrow-Gnawer, Stabwhisker, etc. Any good ideas? I would like to use "paw" but I already have two characters with paw in their name. Suggestions?
