+ GRAND SEPULCHRE +

Tucked in the center in a large vaulted space, a flat monument stands bereft of the sculpture and niches that decorate the rest of the sepulcher. It’s a prominent place clearly, but there is no plaque, no family name or device – just what appear to be skeletons sitting on top? Do you investigate or have you head enough and are ready to return to the rotunda?

Coming around to investigate, you can clearly see three separate skulls – definitely not human - but only the torso and body of a single beast. Unsure what exactly to make of the extra skulls, you assume the remains of the other two dogs must have been carried off years ago.

Picking up the first skull – it’s far larger than you anticipated – at least twice the size of your head – as you compare it, you place the skull over your head. You place it back down, and with great care, you manage to pick up the other two skulls – one in each hand.

As you try to let go of these two… you find you can’t. It’s almost as if they’re glued to your palms. You try to shake them lose – but the stubborn bones won’t budge. That’s when you notice the fur – on the back of your arms… and then the impossible happens – your hands are sucked into the skulls.

Your arms immediately stop responding to your commands – and begin to thicken and change. At once the two skulls snap around- to reveal glowing eyes as tissue rebuild around them. Your rapidly changing arms are becoming necks for the new newly revived Cerberus heads. Your body changes rapidly as the new heads complete – new forelegs grow from your changing torso – your legs now properly hind legs – as you rapidly grow to fit your new heads.

Your canine body finally begins to respond as your own head reshapes to match the other two, your will joining theirs as you become the new guard of the dead, the new CERBERUS.
