+ THE SWAMPS +
Nearly hypnotized, you decide to follow the glowing circles, like a trail of breadcrumbs through the mire. They float carelessly over the swamp… which some part of your mind is keenly aware is getting deeper – but the lights… the lights beckon you further.
You follow them obediently, until you step and fall fully into the swamp. The water rushes in through your eyes, ears and mouth, and yet you don’t choke. Your fears and pounding heart are eased by the brackish water, and your last human thoughts were how you failed your adventure… but your first new thought after the blackness was how you were the lord of the swamps.
With ease you pull yourself out of the swampy hole, encircled by will-o-the wisps moss and algae hang from your monstrous arms, as glowing eyes leer beneath your massive frame. You have become the SWAMP MONSTER.
