Like many hydras, this one has an extremely potent regenerative factor. Unlike most others, this one requires one to completely destroy the brain in order to halt it. Unfortunately, the 'brain' is not found in the skulls of any of its heads, and is instead distributed across its entire central nervous system. Each head past the first one increases its ability to process information and can think independently, functioning much like a super computer. 5 tends to be a preferred default for this form, but as many as 17 have been used at once in a fight (1v1 arena style combat with a minor warrior deity, which ended in victory) and 193 outside of a fight (chess match against a world spirit which resulted in an absolute loss ((only captured 3 of the opponents pawns while every single one of his own pieces was captured))). This form is capable of mixing different snake types into the heads, as well, as evidenced by the presence of tetrarania snake heads alongside others.

(and for those of you out there who are bound to be curious, yes, there's an equal number of "heads" lower down and yes, they glow in the same colours as the markings. Scandalous thoughts in all of you. Shame. :P)
