Can you feel your heart beating?

At last you have arrived – the true center of the castle. Here the Kings and Queens ruled – dispatched their troops, dispensed justice and gave laws – and brought doom to the land. The room is dark marble – with white veins – stained from the day evil was unleashed upon the castle. The stone room has massive windows – opening to the east and west – though gigantic crimson curtains cover most. Above massive chandeliers, and sculpted candelabras let in flickering light into the massive chamber.

The dark grand room is a stark contrast to the gleaming white room before scented with iron and old stone. The contrast is heightened, when you see the main resident of the room. In the center sits a carved stone basin, with images of bats and demons – a sacrilege contrasting with the chapel down below. The Font is filled to the brim with blood. Here is the source of the corruption – a pact was made here – damning all who came to dwell here.

The font is filled with blood – fresh and flowing mysteriously. A chalice sits upon the lip of the font – similarly carved as the font with images of slain angels in the claws of demons. Do you drink from it?

You find yourself dipping the chalice into the dark liquid – and bringing it your lips. Once the cursed blood touched your lips - the power, and terror coursed into your veins. You have crossed a threshold, and you know it.

Your eyes turn black, while your sclera turns golden – as the angels blood suffused your veins. You dip the cup back into the font, and drink again – your thirst needing to be slaked as the curse takes hold. Your ears point, and your hair turns to white. Your claws greedily cling to the chalice, as the grisly fluid dribbles from your lips. You were now a king among mortals – second only to the Castle’s unseen master, who accepted your transformation, and place as his second in command.

You are a VAMPIRE LORD.
