I rather dug Atomic Beatty while it was on the air. Betty was great. The villains were good. Betty's sidekicks? Well... they were pretty lame. Much as I enjoyed it on the whole, the show never became one of my favourites. But Betty herself is. My take on the character grows her up some, but ot too much.
The next file is the same drawing, but the page turned over and traced. On the other side Betty is dressed for school rather than duty.

The series (produced by Kevin Gillis, of Raccoons fame) was a neat idea, done in by rather dull writing and somewhat flat characterization. It could have been another Powerpuff Girls, but instead seems headed for permanent obscurity. A pity, too. But your sketch certainly does justice to this galaxy guardian.
I had noticed a resemblance to the PPG myself, but couldn't be sure if it was intended or coincidental. Perhaps if, instead of the insipid X-9 and Sparky, there had been other female Guardians, it would have been more interesting. But the predicatable side-kicks really dragged it down. Alas, but Atomic Betty is only an also-run.
