Sounds beautiful, the voices are all played very clearly, as for whether it should be rigid or 'harp like' as you say, I remember reading in a few books on late renaissance/baroque performance like 'L'Art de Toucher le Clavecin' and the original preface of a book of Fantasias (forgot the exact collection/author), where they say that you have to play the notes that are on the beat on the beat, but the notes that aren't should be a bit more free rhythmically (one book compared the motion like that of a pendulum, it always swings at a set time, but as it rises it moves slower and as it falls it moves faster, but always reaching the minimum/fastest point at the same interval), also the first note of every measure (for solo pieces) was held a little longer than usual, but I think that that's particular to harpsichords, as they couldn't alter the dynamics, so rhythmic variety was more important.
Again, a delightful performance!

Wonderful! I love the tuned guitar. It is a very good choice.
Which brings me to yet another question: Are you familiar with John Renbourn (also know as a part of the band Pentangle)? Once again, I have little doubt that you are... But otherwise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEy-tPyy-vw

as for your qUESTIONI
often when I play baroque sort of things I go overboard with the rolls. I'm not sure why. something spanish in me? but my teacher hounded me into practicing playing notes at the exact same time
so whipped
but yeah
what i love about baroque is the little trills and curlicues you can put in of your own accord... ababh beautiful beautiful

DUDE. This is so SO ace! I'd say keep it loose to keep it fresh! Leave the rigid for all the technical electric stuff, acoustic is more about feeling anyways. :)
Also, what acoustic are you playing in this? It's NICE. I definitely need to work on getting myself an acoustic.

Yeah I know what you mean.. Finding any pices from way way back then is very difficult. And don't say "What about beetoveen or bach, I mean this is WAY before even there time.. I always liked everything ere of the renaissance. Including music. O.o HMM I know lutes are hard to find music for but im curious, Have you ever tried to play the leanthier tunes ment for a Harpschord?
I like to listen to stuff that doesn't make me say "oh, this song reminds me of this other song from this onther band", because of this, my music library is getting bigger and bigger every month or so...
Therefore, this performace of yours is very nice, it's so simple and calm but at the same time it's very lovely...I would love to listen to more of this, yes.

Also, I used to improvise a lot when I played the flute as part of the music band from my school.
Whenever it was the 30 minutes break I would stay on my chair or stand up and lean agains the wall and start to play and play whatever and however I wanted, It was the best time that I felt like having a moment for myself instead of following rules and simple circles on paper sheets.
