It's heart breaking hearing about these fires and how a lot of it was arson. I do love your picture.

Yeah it's very upsetting... Much of the start was 'natural' but so many after due to people being careless or cruel... Four people are dead so far and so many homes destroyed... Animals having no where to go and many left burned and stranded.

Thank you. I'm hoping to do a series of them and offer them out to be used to raise awareness and donations. I'm absolutely heartbroken.

My fire brigade hasn't seen one of our trucks since the end of August because it's been on the NSW Mid north coast assisting with the effort to bring the fires under control, we've sent crew after crew up.

Unfortunately my crew have also come across their fair share of animals that didn't escape in time. I've been known to put a lizard or two in my jacket pocket until the fire passes then put them back again

God that's insane.. And it doesn't look to be letting up any time soon :(

I don't know how I'd handle seeing that... Thank you you are your crew for all of your dedication and hard work. And thank you for thinking of the little lizards ;; My next pieces are going to be of reptiles.

I just hope we can all get through this and work towards bettering it for the future.
