Synopsis:
Clinton Fitzgerald, or Kélak son of Fiit is a Kniit diagnosed with Mok’s syndrome. Every day is a struggle to keep his body from breaking, only barely helped by his gravitational aura. Thus unable to follow the footsteps of his brethren in physical strength, he turned to technology and engineering, eager to study remnant tech— the ancient technologies that were still pristine even after unfathomable ages left abandoned to the mercy of time. So now a physically stunted, sickly frail adult, he started looking for work in the salvage industries, and got a job as a scrap mechanic and researcher of remnant tech.
But that job requires him to make a new home on a capital ship, one of the Galactic Syndicate’s most renowned and big enough to support thousands of people as permanent residents. Its route takes them around the great expanse of the galaxy, from Syndicate jurisdiction through the territories of the radiant empire… an empire which may at any point forbid safe travel.
At least his best friend Judy will be there for moral support, posted on the same star ship The Prospect as security detail.
And here's something for all my furry followers-- however few there on here. Not the most elaborate and exciting first page, but I don’t want a particularly quick, exciting start, just a simple, slow roll until later on. Anyway I'm personally excited for this, and I hope you are too!
Oh, and apologies for the "Miscellaneous" theme. Evidently there's no category for Science Fiction. Seems like kind of a gross oversight. Anyone who can't read it here, please follow the link below.
