This is a dog that lives near us, a Munsterlander called Merlin. He is a stunning dog, but due to his unpredictable temperament, he is almost always muzzled. I was lucky enough to meet him one day when he wasn't (he was away from his usual territory and hence very docile) and I managed to snap couple of nice photos of him. I've wanted to draw some more dogs for a while now and decided to take the opportunity to draw him. I'm really pleased with the dog, less so with the background. The photo has snow in it, but I wanted to do something more appropriate for a gun dog like him and decided to go with autumn woods. I reserve judgment on whether I like it or not.

He is really pretty to look at. But the first time Sinta and he met, Merlin tried to kill my poor puppy. Thank goodness he was muzzled. Sinta didn't quite get the message and when back for more... O_o Normally when we see him, he is really aloof and ignores people, but that one time he was without his muzzle, we had a long cuddle and he loved sitting on my feet and being adored. ^_^
Thanks very much! I know I've been playing around with mixed media stuff recently, but I want to keep on improving on black paper as well. Now all I need to do is win the lottery, so that I will have as much time to devote to my art as I want. ^_^
Also, can I just say that the scan sucks. My scanner really hates me.
