You bastid, I'm planning one of these beauties myself! My oscilloscope only arrived this week though, and need to plan out what tubes I will use.
What design are you using? I'm looking at a modified Oddwatts push-pull, but it's going to need seriously modified to get it working right on a UK power supply.

Ahh. I came across a website dedicated to tube amps, and was hooked from there. It helps that I am doing an electrical engineering course at college. LOTS of experience to draw on since half my lecturers apprenticed on valve kit back in the day.

looks cool, maybe a little complex. Also, I don't like talk of downsizing the output transformers, a tubeamp is only as good as its transformers. I had mine custom wound to spec by Electra-Print audio, http://www.electra-print.com/ , He also has some very cool designs there that are simple but very good and his transformers are the best you can get today. He'll even wind your outputs with silver wire if you really want to get crazy with it.
