Real men cry lava.
The coloring is particularly striking. The warm colors evoke a feeling of excitement and energy, but the figure is static. I read one of the comments mentioning that if the colors were inverted, it would have a very different effect. Might be worth experimenting with (even if it only becomes a scrap).

I haven't really experimented with varying colors, but I did make a greyscale version: http://glennoar.xepher.net/milkrun/.....0copyx22v4.jpg like I do with most of my images to play around with contrasts and whatnot.
