Weeeeellllll it's not exactly French, but "Reynard" normally means simple "Anthromorphic Red Fox" in literature. (I was until recently an English Major pursuing a 4-year degree, now Psychology Major)

But in common language the meaning of "Reynard" changes to "Male Fox" so there's more than one meaning, I mean, you got it, just, there's another meaning in there. :P

Not trying to shoot you down or anything, I guess I was being an informative doucher.
