This is Timothy's son, Alex James Evans, age 11, a wolf/retriever mix (mostly retriever, though he has his dad's eyes).
Alex is a pretty average kid, though he tends to be a little on the geeky side. He plays games with his dad, even if he thinks that tabletop games aren't as fun as video games, and he loves to play outside with his friends in the awesome Mecha treehouse his dad built him. His high energy and cheerfulness hide some pretty deep scars, though. He uses humor and fun to help ignore them, but he's been kept up at night with fits of crying because his mom and dad split up. The stress it causes him is high enough that soon after the divorce he began to wet the bed. The doctor said it was only temporary and that it would go away over time, but six years later Alex is still wearing diapers to bed and trying to forget that his mom wants nothing to do with him or his family. Even on car rides he wears a diaper because there's a chance he'll fall asleep and wet. But it's starting to become a source of comfort for him. His dad helps him change, and it became a sort of bonding ritual between them. Sometimes during the day he'll put one on so he can feel the security they bring him. Timothy knows this is going on, but he doesn't actively encourage it. He just tells Alex that any extra diapers he wears outside of bedtime and car rides come out of his allowance, and Alex accepts this. In spite of this, Timothy has brought him up to be a responsible young man, and he helps out around the house and helps take care of his little sister. Not to say he's a golden child. Quite the contrary, sometimes it can be like pulling teeth for Timothy to get Alex to clean his room. But for the most part, he's a good kid who just happens to ignore the rules sometimes.

Oh, he definitely puts a diaper on for gaming, especially if he's going to be playing a story-based game that has a long story. He's careful not to drink too much Mt. Dew so that he doesn't end up going through 3-4 diapers in one game session.
Yeah, his dad always makes sure he puts a diaper on for any trip longer than 45 minutes, even if Alex isn't tired.
