Nah, don't worry, nobody died. The gazelle isn't dead.
I mean look at that lion, he's obviously a civilized being, not a cold blooded murderer, nor a savage beast. And he didn't eat that much did he? He just ate one leg.
Of course they roasted both her arms and legs for that dinner, there was more than one lion to feed, but they ARE keeping her alive, she stays fresh longer that way, until they need to prepare the rest of her.
And who knows, maybe they gave her a piece to sample, too?

why a "she" :) Well, because, as
kintomythostian found out (and commented on my story The Meal ) this image fits the said story extraordinarily well. And in that story the main char is a female gazelle :)

looks great coloured. the eyes now make more sense, the expression is enhanced, and that lion has taste, in terms of clothing. :)
all I'm missing is maybe his nostrils. seeing a nose sans nostrils makes me take a deep breath... I'm funny like that. :)
