A good long while back I took Fane out for a spin in an rp with
CommanderLeifN7 to give Leif a taste of my beautiful skeleton man. Or rather give my beautiful skeleton man a taste of Leif. And I quite like how it turned out!
Don’t think about the mechanics of source stomachs too much! :D

Fane crossed his arms looking at the two puny individuals standing atop his work desk. "So let me get this straight. You want me to 'eat' both of you so you can have a 'good time inside my belly'?" The skeleton cocked a skeletal eyebrow at Markus just after checking out the peculiar creature that stood next to him. "I don't even know where to begin pointing out the issues with that statement."
"Oh come on, Fane! Just this once! Please!" Markus said, pumping his fists excitedly.
Ignoring the little human Fane leaned down, bringing his enormous skeletal face closer to Leifkin and rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "However I must admit, I am a little curious. So you're saying you are interested in joining the little troublemaker in this... questionable endeavor?"
"Honestly I was kinda the one who suggested it." Leif commented, rubbing at the back of his head, a little embarrassed to admit this truth. He looked up and down along Fane's vast face, the soft sound of bone clattering against bone as the eternal continued stroking at his chin. The miniature turian extended his own head, noting Fane's lack of esophagus, or really any internal organs beneath his robes, seeing only a spine trailing down into the neck of the clothing. "I wouldn't ask if you weren't willing or uh... capable? I assume you can, since Markus said you could."
Leif shook his head, still baffled by what he was looking at. A giant skeleton, this was something he only expected to see inside of someone, not outside, and certainly not at this size! He looked up at the dark void where Fane’s eyes were supposed to be, seeing two semi-expressive source dots in them.
Fane 'blinked,' for lack of a better term. "Oh I am more than capable of indulging that particular fantasy. And since you seem just as eager as Markus, I don't particularly mind indulging either of you. But I must ask." Fane backed off a little, cocking his head and still grasping his pointy chin. "I would expect a creature like yourself to show up amongst my people but I am almost certain you are not one of them. So that begs the question..." Fane grabbed Markus in the fist of his left hand while gently pinching Leifkin by the collar and bringing the little spiky alien closer to his face. "What are you exactly?"
"Oh he's actually-" Markus was about to interject only to find a skeletal fingertip immediately placed over his mouth.
"I need you to stay quiet for now, Markus."
"Uhhh that's a long story but, to give you the short of it, I'm a turian from another planet called Palaven." Leif responded, stifling a chuckle as he watched Markus struggling against the bone pressing against his face. Leif shuffled a bit in place, looking around the fairly archaic-looking room. It was certainly pristine, aside from the piles of notes and books, and the slightly spilt vial of a shrinking potion he drank earlier.
Fane nodded, urging the small non-human to continue.
"You seem to be a scholar of sorts, but I can't really tell you much of my species, other than that we're not of this world. We have metal in our skin to protect us from radiation on our home planet. Our DNA is different from a human's completely but I don't even know if you guys would call it DNA here, or if you're even aware of its existence... also we're normally not this small!" Leif laughed a bit to himself, not wanting to sound smug about it at all. He held up a hand, as if to ask for a bit of patience. "Our understanding of science is a lot different from yours. We don't even have magic or 'source' or anything where I'm from."
"I see... Fascinating." Fane said in a matter-of-factly tone as he threw Markus a dirty glance and gave him a squeeze. "Markus you do realize that just because you are able to travel between worlds there is no reason to abuse that power, correct?"
"But Leif is my!-" Markus spoke up only to have the boney fingertip shoved all the way inside his mouth this time, not only shutting the human up but making him moan as he seemed to almost be... sucking onto it?
"Oh I am well aware of that. Still, I believe I must repeat myself, remind you exactly what you are dealing with." Fane said furrowing his brows at Markus' shameless reaction, yet somewhere deep beneath that rigid demeanor Leif would be able to discern a hint of a smile. One that disappeared rather quickly as the skeleton's gaze turned to Leif.
With a simple motion of the giant hand, the little turian would find himself atop Fane's palm. "Do you have to deal with him acting the way around you as well?" Fane asked and then shook his head, quietly chuckling under his breath. "I must admit, I am extremely curious to learn about you, your species and the world you come from. Though I suppose that could wait; it is not why you are here after all." The eternal scholar's skeletal form lit up with an ethereal glow. “Though next time you come visit, some reading material or diagrams perhaps would be quite welcome.” Fane chuckled and the next moment his eyes lit up with a turquoise flame as the same kind of aura enveloped Leifkin and Markus as well. “Do brace yourself, Leif.” The giant skeleton warned as both micros would find a strange feeling of disconnect taking over their bodies. A moment would pass and they would feel weightless as they floated just a little bit closer to Fane’s face.
Markus – having fully anticipated this – already soared through the air, flying around in front of Leif in the form of a glowing turquoise specter for just a few moments before quickly disappearing between the eternal’s jaws, which have been promptly opened to house the little troublemaker.
Leif began to feel light headed, as a weird, almost calming wave washed over him. He shuddered a bit, about to rub at his arms when he realized he couldn’t even... perceive them? Then Markus flew before his face. Leif gasped, watching the little human as he was joyfully inhaled, his own glowing teal light awash and hidden in the glow within Fane. Leif traced the outline of Markus' body in the waving fumes of source, watching it vanish along the Eternal's spine and deep into his ribcage. "Oh my god! I'm... a spirit!"
“Ah yes. I suppose I should have warned you.” Fane smiled as he carefully brought Markus’ lifeless body down onto the table in front of him. “You will not be occupying your body for this. So if you look behind you…” Fane trailed of.
Leif attempted exactly that, unable to control himself very well and spiraling in the air for a moment before he focused enough to look at his limp body. He was sleeping there, peacefully, laid out next to Markus. He couldn't help but smile at that.
“As a matter of fact you yourself resemble barely more than a purple ghost of your former self. Which is a little odd, I admit. I would have expected your soul to be turquoise like the rest of them but… This is something I can investigate later. For now...” Fane’s jaws parted once more, practically inhaling Leifkin towards them as the tiny alien passed into the brilliant sea of brightly glowing teal, sinking deeper and deeper into the shining void.
Leif resisted for a moment, pausing in the mouth just to admire the novelty of how he was being eaten. "Feel free to study me while I'm... inside you. Just nothing invasive if you don't mind? I'd like to have a body to come back to.~" Leif gazed around for a moment; at the fleshless jaws of the skeleton, at the spiraling abyss of source trailing deep down, seemingly infinitely. And then, as soon as he relaxed, it felt like his form simply dispersed, dissolving into a dust as he was sucked away, no power over his minute, ghostly self.
A few moments passed in weightlessness and then, once he regained something resembling a form, he found himself in a small glowing pocket, a bubble within Fane’s chest. The turian bumped into Markus, who giggled happily as he pressed up against his mate. A tiny bit of colorful smoke emanated from both of them where they came into contact, yet neither of them felt anything more than a gentle touch of one another’s souls.
Leif gasped in awe. "Markus... why did it take us this long to come in here?"
"Uhhh..." Markus hesitated, dragging his wispy glowing hands along the side of Leif's head. "Traffic?" He prodded his chin in thought. "Interdimensional traffic?" It was at that moment the outline of the stomach shimmered and shifted as almost effortlessly a skeletal fingertip poked through, gently papping Markus on the head.
"He was scared to ask me." Fane said as he moved his hand away from its position between his ribs and flicked off the tiny bit of liquid source with a wave of his hand. "And he was scared to ask you." The Eternal explained. "And that's not just guesswork. I am, as a matter of fact, quite certain I'm right." He added with a hint of smug confidence in his tone.
"I-in my defense I did not expect Leif to be into a huge handsome skeleton!" Markus tried defending himself, pressing himself up against the translucent outline of the bubble and pushing outwards only to find himself unable to pierce that barrier or even catch Fane's gaze like he wanted to. "It's just when he told me about his interest in glowing stomachs a few hours ago I-"
"Saw it as an opportunity to take him along for a ride. That's a... well... Not a terrible plan, I suppose. Good job, Markus."
"EEEEEEEEEEE!!!" Markus squealed loudly at the eternal's praise as he gripped onto Leif in the tightest hug he could manage, distorting the turian's incorporeal form just a little bit, as it squashed under Markus' grip, probably leaving Leifkin just a little dizzy.
"Now then... I hope the two of you enjoy your stay." Fane muttered as he was already leaning over the tale, rubbing his chin in though as he carefully studied Leif's physical form. "And in the meantime I shall..." He carefully grabbed one of the turian's limp arms, rose it into the air and let go watching as it flailed right back down much like a human's would. "...take a look at Leif. No invasive procedures, as promised."
"Well love, now I took being into Fane in the literal sense!" Leif remarked, hugging back onto Markus before floating over to the other end of the bubble. He pushed on it, feeling no texture other than a repelling, elastic feeling force back at him. He grunted, exerting his ghostly self as much as he could, purple fumes wafting about with the teal as he bulged the source bubble outwards, before being sprung back into Markus. He laughed happily, a bit dazed by it. "I wonder if he can feel that?"
"I can. And I don't particularly appreciate you doing that. It takes energy to keep that barrier up." Fane explained as he was already hard at work carefully fiddling with Leif's body using a pair of tweezers. "Please stop."
Leif laughed and turned towards Markus, pushing forward and accidentally flowing through the human for a moment before flowing back, trying his best to kiss the teal ghost. Leif's glowing eyes stared at Markus with a smile. "By the way love, it was... really sexy to watch you flow into this big guy like that. Between those boney jaws, and down into here.~"
Markus chuckled at the turian's actions, responding with pushing his face inside the purple spirit's abdomen. "Well hang around Fane like that and you'll be seeing a lot more of s-"
"No he will not, Markus." Fane interjected. "Source magic is not a joy ride. Is it not enough that I tolerate you fawning over my feet?" He asked, clearly annoyed, yet also somewhat amused. "Though this is... not altogether unpleasant, I must admit." The skeletal scholar added with a chuckle as he rested his hand over his abdomen. "Though not something I actively wish to maintain over long periods of time either."
Within the stomach a moment passed in silence and peace as Markus stared at Leifkin with a smile when suddenly a familiar boney finger poked inwards through the source bubble and gently papped the turian on the head, much like it did to Markus a moment ago. "And do stop thinking about dissolving inside me, would you? I have no desire to consume you. You are vastly more useful as a live specimen."
Leif 'rubbed' his incorporeal head and looked up, seeing the bones of the ribcage stretch over him in the air. It was magnificent to see, truthfully. And now that his unwholesome thoughts were dashed, he felt completely safe and comfortable there, trapped in the source bubble with Markus.
"But I am open to this." Fane continued. "Perhaps we can do it again at a later date." He chuckled and got back to work, leaving his robes ajar and allowing the soft glow within him to shine out into the room. "For now however… If I could get some quiet, it would be highly appreciated. Based on my experience you could just.... 'beam' thoughts at one another, correct?"
"Yep!" Markus exclaimed closing his eyes and focusing his mind as he laid two fingers on Leifkin's forehead; completely unnecessary but he felt the need to be dramatic about it. His entire existence strained as he forced one particular thought to vocalize itself inside of Leif's consciousness.
