Give hugs to the Herder!

Life, in general, is never easy, especially in the world of the Griffin Ranger novels. But in some corners of the world there are brighter points of light.

Ripples the herder is the main cook and manager of the Yellow Quail Ranch, aided there with his right-hand builder and savant-in-exile, Coaad-eet. Matching and combining their skills, they turn out some wonderful tasting works together.
Herders are neutrals but helpful to all, and they can be very affectionate within their pack and to their friends.
And just sometimes? Who doesn't need a hug?
