I don't think they meant any offense by what they said. Simply that it reminded it them of something else. Which there is nothing wrong with in the slightest. I don't believe I know of any other artist that would be upset or offended by someone commenting that their artwork reminds them of something else. Nor should they be. All it is is the person saying "Seeing this gives me a familiar feeling of something else."
I can see a sight similarity for what it's worth and despite that I still think this a great piece. Good job.

Kinda old reply, but any kind of short comment makes artist confused.. Like.. Just saying piece reminds something (artist probably don't even know the title) and don't leave any actual comment to the work.. Or simple "nice". Well, annoying yeah. Just not everyone replies as it is.
