The Cesspool

We are things of growth,
Choosing the path the suits the most,
As an individual this is our choice,
So it is time to muse.

Time to resonate upon what we are going to do,
Going around or threw,
We must choose what is best for us,
This choice is an obese must.

Do we continue forth the path of corporate America?
Where we consume, consume, consume,
Where we walk on others to obtain petty wants,
Using other countries for what should be made in America.

Slavery is live and well,
It is slavery of debt,
Providing poverty to thrive,
The slavery now is not guided by race for all fall into it’s grasp.

We are not what we were,
For the people suffer,
Because of their choices,
That is affected by the everyday sights.

The newest thing,
The newest look,
The hottest trend,
And by being the hottest.

We are more focused on idle things,
Not where your clothes come from,
Not where your shoes come from,
Not where your food comes from.

For we are becoming corporate America,
Where we were forced to start making are own goods because of the British blockades,
Now we don’t make are own goods,
It is hard to find an American made item in large corporate stores.

Corporations can fund and influences our politics,
If it goes against the corporation,
By taxing them higher,
It is abolished.
If it works for them by giving them more money and power,
It will pass,
Because they have a say,
And their voice can over power the people’s.

We have the separation of church and state,
Where is the separation of corporation and state?
Soon we will have religion affecting our government.

It is time to muse,
Time to use our voices as the individuals and people of America,
Time to stand up against the rising power,
Which is taking what our Founding Fathers gave us!

We are not “For the People by the People”,
We are becoming corporate America,
We can illuminate it,
And cast it out.

For we are America and we choice what happens,
As long as we keep the light on the dark side,
Never let poverty hid,
Never let unjust acts happen on any human or animal
