Louse was being punished for his disobedience. He attempted to escape which resulted in robbing from Rylons treasury, attacking several guards and burning down his storage house. As Punishment, Rylon subjected Louse to a long Month of Imprisoned Torment in various ways.

The Guards had Louse mummified in Chains up to his neck and then he was thrown into an outhouse, where he was to be kept locked inside for a fortnight. Louse was only to be fed Bread and Water every two days. Louse struggled against his tight chains and kicked at the door with his feet. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t get free.
