Actually, I was using a pop filter and a very proper, good quality mic.
The "higher dynamic range" is what I was not supposed to use in this case, since dynamic mics are more for a stage and live use. They are not as sensitive as the studio mics so they would not pick up the excess of noise on the stage, if you know what I mean. The mic that I am using is labelled as dynamic, actually, and even though it has beautiful quality what I need is a proper condenser mic. I am still learning to use the new recording software and adjusting the mics frequencies through the audio interface, so that is why this recording is of a lesser quality maybe to be begin with, thus it gives you a feeling of it not being well compressed. When I learn that I am sure things would sound better. I myself am very pleased for this being my first home recording. :)
