Call me Yours Part 2 - Page 20
A sudden change of scene, for sure, but dog damn, that might've been the longest sex scene I ever drew.
ALSO! Nathan! Don't be a bad catto, go talk to your old man, invite him to the wedding and stuff! >:(
Time to finish another chapter of the Call me Series. I'll be posting the cover for this chapter next week (because I didn't at the beginning like I normally do), then for the next chapter on the next week, which should fill the usual 2 week break I normally do and then we'll resume with the third and final chapter of the Call me series, concluding Nathan's story.
Hope you're all enjoying it! :D

Consider that this is the final session. Therapists are people too and over time you do develop a comfortable relationship with a good one. A good therapist will always respect professional and personal boundaries though, but it's important to remember that Nathan has been seeing this guy for years at this point so he would likely be pretty comfortable with that.
I will say that I share your sentiment about this guy being off, though for a different reason. A good therapist does more listening than talking. Every time this guy is on screen he has a diatribe to say. Therapists offer suggestions but really, they help you to come to your own solutions. A therapist should not be giving life-advise. That can actually seriously cause harm.

Yeah, this. I think a lot of people who have never been to a therapist have this idea that they do give life advice, but they really don't. They let you talk (about whatever you want, not even necessarily your issues), and when they do speak themselves, it's mostly to validate your thoughts and feelings or ask questions to get you thinking/talking more, and only really offer advice when it comes to trying to provide you with healthier ways to cope with specific things.
But then...not every therapist is a good therapist, I guess.

Exactly, and well said. I was lucky enough to find a great one and have been seeing him for almost 2 years now. I knew what to look for so prior to finding him I went through a few bad ones. I left after figuring them out so no harm was done. I can't stress how helpful it is to have that objective person to talk out things with. People often think "Oh you pay them all this money to do what a good friend would do" But it's nothing like that. Often when we are talking, even if it isn't about something directly related to our issues, there is healing happening. Cheers and thanks!
