a cabal of wizards in ancient times created the race of gargoyles from stone and gifted them with life and flesh and then set them to guard specific sites of great importance, tall towers,temples,mansions,castle,tombs and similar sites, they have how ever bred true and be found in the wild, among canoynes and mountains. Gargoyles can hibernate for ages as stone statues and takes flight at the first sign of intruders, Upon death Gargoyles turn back intot he stone they where made from and crumbles.
