I've been wanting to make a character based off of one of my country's many native birds, and I leaned towards
the kererū, or wood pigeon, for many reasons (one being their massive bodies)

And so Areta was made; her name means "Noble" in Te Reo Maori as shown in the sheet itself ^v^

I'm quite proud with how this came out, considering it's my first actual drawing of any avian species. There may be
a few recognisable hiccups here and there but that's mostly because I'm not that well educated on bird anatomy
or have had previous experience drawing birds >~>

Anyway, here she is, a chunky motherly birb~
