Lance is a long heavier spear, usually worn while riding.
Glaive is like a sword, but has a larger percentage of it being handle.

so, technically, Rain's favorite weapon is a double-Glaive

I actually thought about it and i might make a poleaxe shotgun or something like that. Would go through talyxian creatures chitin easily!

Penetrating a shell.. would depend on the kind of projectile.. spherical balls would be awful against any curved shell, so one would have to have rifling.

i dont see many artists creating weapon concepts.

I've been thinking about the shotgun thing being at the top, near the axe. Basically you would just swing it at the creature, locking the weapon in place and pull the trigger. It would also kickback the poleaxe back into the air for another swing!

Those could be custom shells, with a lot of force, or could be reloaded like a musket too! Though that'd be long to reload
