Garuda does sound nice. Though Nisroch is also an eagle God. Perhaps one based off this one guardian deity. I forget the name, but it was based off of Set and is one of the very few Egyptian Gods still in constant worship in even the modern era. Sure he looks human than what he was before, but the skin is still red. His current form is one of a troop of guardian deities that defends temples in India from evil spirits.
