It isn't all that uncommon for overzealous newborn slimesects to break out of their cocoons early. Thankfully most of the times that happens, they've amassed enough moisture so finish their metamorphosis outside of their eggs. That stored moisture has to go somewhere however.

YES! Finally! My last overdue commission is done!!!
My art style changed like 3/5 times during the span of drawing this, understandingly making this a pain to finish.
