One of my favorite movies of all time that I've gotten on DVD, officially.

I know I would LOVE to have the soundtrack!!! The closest thing I could find was Debbie Harry's "Maybe for Sure" or her Def Dumb and Blonde album, which is actually the same as Angel's song except with different lyrics... even stupider ones... I still like that song, though.

What is the greatest animated film of all time?

I do love Rock & Rule though, remembering it in the theater and then when it was played in the Eighties and Nineties on HBO. For a long time it disappeared. I was ecstatic when it finally it came out on DVD. :D

I saw this movie once on CBC, and loved it. I even taped it that night... then never saw it for decades.... and my brother taped over it with Porkys.

Neat to see the characters like this.

On your suggestion, I watched the movie (I found it on youtube) and omg... I LOVED it! I downloaded a bunch of the music on this site (http://www3.bc.sympatico.ca/jcannon/rocknrule/) and created my own soundtrack :) I like Heavy Metal, but Rock and Rule's story is so much more coherent! (I think I have to be really really drunk to truly appreciate the crazy of Heavy Metal, haha).
